Encircled Imran Khan has constituted a 6-member committee to run his party in case he is arrested in Tosha Khana case.
The committee comprises of six top Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders including senior vice chairman , Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Murad Saeed, Ejaz Chaudhary, Saifullah Khan Niazi, Azam Swati and Amin Gandspur.
Newly appointed PTI president , Chaudhary Pervez Elahi , has been intimidated by not made a member of the committee constituted to run the party if he is arrested by the police. Chaudhary Pervez Elahi’s exclusion from the committee is the first major jolt to Chaudhary Pervez Elahi. No PTI leader from Sindh, Balochistan is made a part to the committee.
As clashes between the police and PTI workers are still continuing outside Zaman park in Lahore , Imran Khan, has called his supporters out to protest against his arrest in Tosha Khana case.
In his call to his party workers, Imran Khan on Tuesday evening said ” Tell these fascists government that the nation is not asleep against its fascism”.

A daylong dog fight is continuing between the police and the charged workers of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) outside Imran Khan’s residence in Zaman park here.
The clashes between the police and PTI workers started early on Tuesday when the police arrived at Zaman park to arrest Imran Khan in compliance to the court orders in Tosha Khana case.
A district and session judge Islamabad had issued non bailable orders to arrest Imran Khan in the case and present him before it on March 17 .
In another case of hurling threats to a female judge Islamabad , Zeba Chaudhary, , the district and session judge Islamabad had issued non- bailable warrants of Imran Khan. However , these court orders were later suspended .
The PTI chairman has been summoned through the non-bailable warrants for indictment in the Tosha khana gifts case on March ,29.
Imran Khan had not appeared before the court in both the cases citing security issue to his life on the last hearing set for March 13.
After suspension of the court orders in the judge threatening case, Islamabad police had arrived Lahore on Monday to arrest Imran Khan in the Tosha Khana case.
Imran Khan had hurled serious threats to the female judge of Islamabad and the senior officials of Islamabad police while addressing a public rally outside F-9 park in Islamabad on August 20 last year.
Fearing arrest of Imran Khan , PTI had given a call to the party workers to reach Zaman park and resist any effort of the police for arrest of Imran Khan.
On the party call, a large number of diehard workers are fighting a hit and run game against the police . The PTI workers are fighting against the police with ‘lathies’ and they are continuously pelting stones on them.
The police are also using force and tear gassing to dispurse the PTI workers from Zaman park.
This cat and mouse game has left many policemen and the PTI workers hurt . The police have also arrested some PTI workers during the clashes and shifted them to the nearby police stations .
Meanwhile , PTI senior leader , Shah Mahmood Qureshi , had held media talk outside Zaman park and appealed to PTI workers to stay calm and do not take the law in their hands. Despite clear advice of the party senior.vice chairman , the workers are pegged against the police and clashes with the police are continuing.
Seeing the situation spilling out of control ,the Punjab government has summoned Rangers to assist the police outside Zaman park and arrest Imran Khan to present him in the court on the next hearing scheduled for March 17,2023.
Meanwhile , Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed a plea of PTI against arrest of Imran Khan in Tosha Khana case for tomorrow. PTI leader , Fawad Chaudhary , had moved the case in IHC today.
