ISLAMABAD (NEWSMAN): The CCOP reviewed the summary of PC Board which it had asked the rejection of the bid of PKR 10 billion given by Blue-World for privatization of PIACL (60% shares).
The CCOP decided to agree with the proposal and recommendations of PC Board and finally rejected the offer bid of Blue World.
The CCOP again confirmed the resolve of the government of Pakistan to privatize PIACL through privatisation or G2G basis.
The CCOP agreed and said with satisfaction that the assessment of the aviation division on robust PIACL’s accounts.
The CCOP also set-up a committee under the leadership of Minister of State for Finance to review the probable transaction offer for privatisation of Roosevelt hotel and ways and methods to be taken up in the background of current legal conditions and laws.
The CCOP also asked for to resolve all issues and conclusion of agreement for the divestment of Services International Hotel till its upcoming meeting.
Meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCOP) was held on 14th November 2024 with the Ishaq Dar the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister in chair.
The sitting was also attended by other members of the Committee including the Industry and Food, Ministers of Privitization, MOS for Finance & Revenue, Minister for Commerce, Power, and Federal Secretaries of several divisions.
