CDA Enhances Development Projects along Potohar Avenue

More than 290 permanent constructions have been successfully removed from Pothwar Avenue.

More than 290 permanent constructions have been successfully removed from Pothwar Avenue. The conference was informed that progress has been made in anti-encroachment.

In this regard, the enforcement teams are conducting routine patrols, surveillance, and the successful demolition of unlawful buildings.

The idea for Pothwar Avenue’s cleaning and attractiveness was also covered in the meeting. More than 1,413 trees have been planted along the avenue, and extensive horticultural work has also been done, the meeting was further informed.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa ordered to swap out the remaining traditional advertising boards for digital ones to enhance the appearance.

He stated that the digital boards would also result in revenue generation. The revenue generated from the digital boards would be spent on the beauty as well as uplift of the Avenue.

The Chairman requested that local businesses be involved in a CSR-based plan to improve and beautify the Avenue.

Additionally, he directed the enforcement teams to exchange weekly drone footage to closely track the advancement of the encroachment effort.

The resolution made at the end of the conference was to increase the efforts to address drainage and sewerage problems, horticultural projects for aesthetic purposes, and the anti-encroachment campaign for the remaining unlawful structures.
