ISLAMABAD, October 15,2024: Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang met with Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker, Ayaz Sadiq, to strengthen economic ties and expand cooperation between the two nations.
The two leaders explored opportunities to boost trade relations and enhance collaboration on regional peace and security. They underscored the significance of joint ventures in the energy sector as part of broader economic cooperation.
Speaker Sadiq expressed pride in Pakistan’s role as the host of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, calling it a great honor that would highlight the country’s positive global image.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional development through SCO initiatives and emphasized the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for both countries.
Sadiq also highlighted Pakistan’s vast investment potential, advocating for stronger partnerships in education and science.
He recognized China’s role as a strategic ally and discussed plans for future parliamentary delegations to further enhance bilateral ties.
