RAWALPINDI, November 2, 2024: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold a public gathering in Swabi on November 9.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Gandapur indicated that PTI would reveal its strategy in response to any renewed restrictions on meetings with former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In his remarks, Gandapur criticized the current government, alleging it secured power through rigged elections and called for its ousting.
He condemned the arrests and detentions of PTI workers nationwide, arguing that the government’s tactics aimed at creating fear have instead highlighted the flaws within the system.
Gandapur confirmed that PTI plans to announce its final strategy at the Swabi interchange on the day of the protest.
He also expressed concern over Khan’s treatment in prison, stating that he is not receiving adequate facilities. Earlier in Peshawar, Gandapur reiterated his condemnation of state actions against PTI supporters, emphasizing that their protests have remained peaceful and within their constitutional rights.
