While I sit by the deep blue lake side in Khan Pur that I received this sad news of a family member Honourable Humayun Asifi as posted by Honourable Dr. Abdulah Abdulah, Afghanistan former Afghan Foriegn Minister on his Facebook page and shared with me by my nephew Arham Haq from Switzerland.
We met last post 9/11 in Islamabad when the family was on their way back to Afghanistan through Pakistan. Honourable Asifi was cousin of former king Zahir Shah and one of the contenders in the Presidential elections of Afghanistan till the Americans threw their weight behind Hamid Karazai and thus Asifi lost his chance.
It is sad that Afghanistan lost yet another moderate who was prevented serve his country and nation without any prejudice or bias but the Americans hated Afghans under their Royal family knowing they will progress and be protected as they always backed up pawns that always back fired the Afghans being freedom loving . Rest In Peace.
