Dubai : March 23, 2025 : Pakistan National Day Celebrated at Consulate General in Dubai
The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai hosted a ceremony today to commemorate Pakistan’s National Day.
The event was attended by members of the Pakistani community, media representatives and officials from the consulate. H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General, inaugurated the ceremony by hoisting the national flag. Messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were also read on the occasion.
In his address, Mr. Hussain extended his congratulations to the attendees on Pakistan Day, marking the historic occasion of March 23, 1940, a day when the Muslims of the subcontinent demanded a separate homeland through the passage of the Pakistan Resolution.
He emphasized that this day holds profound significance in Pakistan’s history, as it set the stage for the creation of an independent state on August 14, 1947.
“Today, we honor the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the countless leaders and workers of the Pakistan Movement who courageously faced immense challenges to achieve independence. The creation of Pakistan through a peaceful and democratic struggle remains an unparalleled milestone in human history,” stated the Consul General.
Mr. Hussain underscored the importance of reflecting on Pakistan’s journey, acknowledging both its achievements and areas for improvement. He noted that while Pakistan has made significant progress in various fields since its independence, there is still much to be accomplished, particularly in the social and economic sectors.
“Pakistan is endowed with abundant human and natural resources. It is our collective responsibility to work diligently and with dedication to harness these resources for the nation’s progress. By embracing unity, faith, and discipline, we can strengthen our country and ensure its prosperity,” he said.
