Islamabad : March 31, 2024 : In a shocking development, the government on Sunday increased petrol prices by a massive difference of Rs 9.66 per litre for next fortnight. With this massive increase , petrol new prices have jumped up to Rs 289.41 per litre .
This unbearable new petrol shock has come to the nation which is already in trouble due to high inflation . The increase of Rs 9.66 per litre in petrol price is going to stoke inflation further to make the lives of Pakistanis even more miserable. This petrol shock has come for the Pakistanis when they were struggling to meet Eid expense in shrinking income times .
The official handout issued to announce the new petroleum products seems too innocents . It said “The price of Petrol (Motor Gasoline) has increased in the international market during the last fortnight, while the price of HSD has marginally declined. The Government has accordingly decided to revise the existing consumer prices of petroleum products. New prices of w.e.f. 1st April, 2024 will therefore be as follows:
