Amidst huge tear gassing and stone pelting , addition session judge Islamabad , Zafar Iqbal , permitted Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, to record his attendence outside the Islamabad Judicial Complex (IJC) in his car and leave from the scene.
The additional session judge waited in his chamber for Imran Khan for hours to appear before him to hear the charges against him in Tosha Khana case, but the PTI chairman who was sitting in his bullet proof vehicle outside IJC could not ‘reach’ in the court room.
As a pre meditated strategy , PTI workers, meanwhile, started to pelt at the police that was stationed outside IJC for security which invited tear gassing for PTI workers. This episode became a regular scene of intermittent clashes between the police and PTI workers for hours today.
Imran Khan kept on sitting in his vehicle and seeing the situation outside IJC. The clashes between the police and PTI workers that lasted for more than two hours worked to the PTI plan aimed at delaying indictment of Imran Khan in Tosha Khana case.
ADSJ who had postponed the hearing for not ‘reaching’ of Imran Khan in the court room at around 3.30 PM finally observed that since the situation outside IJC was not permitting to start hearing in the case, the court allows Imran Khan to confirm his attendence from his vehicle parked outside IJC and the next hearing will be fixed after getting signature of PTI chairman.
Imran Khan’s chief staff officer , Shibli Faraz , later confirmed in his tweet that the process of taking signature has been completed and PTI chairman has left IJC for his residence.
