Magnitude 5.3 earthquake Strikes parts of Pakistan

Islamabad, (Newsman): A 5.3 magnitude Earthquake struck different parts of Pakistan including its capital Islamabad on Wednesday.

The quake, which struck at 10:15am local time and registered a preliminary magnitude of 53, was centered in the Hindu Kush mountain range of Afghanistan. The quake was at the depth of 220 kilometers.

The earthquake tremors were felt in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province including, Peshawar, and Malakand Division.

Other parts hit by earthquake include Swat, Malakand, Parachinar, Abbottabad, Khyber, Mohmand, Mansehra, Lower Dir, Hangu, North Waziristan, Charsadda, Swabi and surrounding areas.

There were no reports of casualties or serious damage after the quake.
