Dubai / Islamabad : The entire nation in Pakistan was eagerly waiting to see Agha XI in action and perform to win the Asia Cup 2025 final against India . Pakistani openers- Sahabzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman had provided Pakistan a fly start to put a good winning total and win the crucial game against India . Seeing the solid start , the commentators sitting in the commentary room were projecting Pakistan ‘s total around 200 .But after 11 over Pakistan’s batters decided to throw their wickets down to India . Pakistani batters really played terrible shots to make it easy for Indian fielders fo take their catches without any efforts . There was no one out in Pakistan’s camp to tell Pakistani batting line including captain Salma Agha that they were playing a crucial final of Asia Cup 2025 against India. Eight of 11 batters got out by playing extremely irresponsible shots . None of them could enter into double digit . Every new Pakistani batter who came on the crease after first 11 overs played childish game. The way Pakistani batters behaved it showed they have given commitment to someone to lose the final game to India .
In this game , Captain Salman Agha showed that he is least responsible player on the ground . His body language shows he hardly plays to win . His non serious attitude remained a top in the final against India at Dubai Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Can the selectors give anything in defence of Salman Agha’s captaincy? . The selectors also need to be questioned for selecting Saim Ayub for Asia Cup final when he had gone out without any score in four games of the tournament. They should also be held accountable for picking up Hussain Talat for this important game when he had nothing in his credit to show to become a part of the squad picked up for the final game .
Pakistani commentators including Waqar Younis and others were shocked over Pakistani batters game. Waqar Younus repeatedly said he could not believe that Pakistani batters could play in the final so terribly.
Mohsin Naqvi , Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman , who was sitting in the VVIP enclosure of the stadium should think twice what he is doing with cricket . He should realise that losing cricket match to India demoralise Pakistani nation.
Mohsin Naqvi should also realise that managing PCB through his blue-eyed bueaurocrats can bring humiliation and disappointment to the nation by bringing more defeats in cricket matches in the future.
