Dhaka/ Rawalpindi : After crashing in the first One Day International (ODI) , Pakistan .made a great come back to thrash host Bangladesh in the second ODI by defeating it by 128 runs.
With Friday’s win , Bangladesh –Pakistan 3-ODI series leveled as 1-1.
Pakistan barred first in Friday’s match and scored 274 runs and set a target of 275 runs for the host Bangladesh in stipulated 50 – over game . However , the target was reduced to 234 in 32 overs under DSL Method due to disruption in the match due to extended rains.
Bangladesh XI could make only 114 runs all out against target of 234 runs.
Pakistan ‘s batters made a great comeback in the second ODI played in Dhaka Cricket Stadium and made a good total of 274 runs in 50 overs game.
Pakistan batters in particular , Maaz Sadaqat and Sahbazada Farhan played a constrictive innings to take Pakistan ‘s total to 274 runs. Both Maaz Sadaqat and Sahbazada scored 50s in the crucial .match for Pakistan against Bangladesh. Maaz Sadaqat played a historic inning at Dhaka Stadium to make his the second match
memorable. He scored 75 off 48 balls.
Maaz also showed his skill with the ball a great spinner by taking three wickets for just 23 runs to confirm his seat in Pakistan XI and play for his country for a long period.
Maaz Sadaqat is a good addition in Pakistan ‘s national team. Pakistan captain ,Shaheen Shah Afridi , appreciated Maaz’s outstanding performance as an all-rounder performance against Bangladesh and said ” We are preparing young cricketers for upcoming world cup ‘”
Sahabzada Farhan also played a great inning and scored fifty in the second ODI against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh captain in his post match comments , acknowledged Pakistan ‘s better performance in the second ODI. He said ” Pakistan side played a good game and won today’s match”.
Bangladesh and Pakistan will play third and last ODI of the series at the same stadium in Dhaka on March 15.
Maaz Sadaqat was declared as man of the match.
