Riyadh,- Saudi Arabia –A remarkable 20-year exploration mission by Kashan Syed, a Pakistani expatriate and founder of the Saudi Tourism Group, has now earned widespread international recognition. His tireless efforts to discover and document Saudi Arabia’s remote, unexplored, and breathtaking natural landscapes have caught global attention.
What began as a personal passion has evolved into a professional mission that aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Kashan Syed’s work has been officially acknowledged by the Saudi Tourism Authority and featured by renowned international media outlets such as the National Geographic Channel and the History Channel, who have highlighted his contributions as a pioneering force in adventure tourism.
Most recently, Syed and his team—comprising 20 off-road vehicles—embarked on an expedition to the Jazala area in the Al Quwayiyah region, approximately 190 kilometers from Riyadh. This unique site is home to ancient rock formations shaped by thousands of years of natural forces such as wind, rain, and sun, producing striking sculptures resembling human and animal figures that leave visitors in awe.

“For the past two decades, I have been committed to uncovering locations in Saudi Arabia that remain off the mainstream tourism map,” said Kashan Syed. “What started as exploration has now become a professional endeavor. Our team utilizes modern tools including GPS navigation, documentation, photography, videography, and location surveys to promote tourism in a structured and sustainable way.”
The mission of the Saudi Tourism Group is to present Saudi Arabia’s natural beauty, geological diversity, and cultural heritage to the world, while actively contributing to the Kingdom’s growing tourism sector. The group’s work stands as a shining example of how expatriates can play a vital and positive role in national development.

This unique initiative not only promotes the hidden treasures of Saudi Arabia but also positively showcases the contribution of the Pakistani community to the Kingdom’s tourism and cultural landscape.
