Islamabad : Jan 16: The federal government on Monday slashed the price of petrol by Rs 8 for the current fortnight ending on January 31. A handout issued here on January 15 said on the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority , the federal government has reduced the petrol price by 8 with effect from January 16.
The new price of petrol has been fixed at 259.34. However , no change has been made in the price of high speed diesel . Its price will remain unchanged at Rs 276.21 per litre.
On the recommendations of OGRA, the government reviews the rates of petroleum products after every 15 days.
