ISLAMABAD : Feb 2 ,2023 : In a major political development, Shahbaz Sharif government has invited an All Parties Conference (APC) on February 7 to have threadbare discussion on the challenges confronted with Pakistan currently .
According to the media reports , the government has extended invitation to all the political leaders of Pakistan including Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) chairman , Imran Khan, for participation in the APC.
The government will take input from top political leadership to formulate a workable strategy to cope with the challenges facing Pakistan currently like terrorism, economic meltdown and political polarisation.
Pakistan is presently facing multi- faceted challenges ranging from terrorism , economic crisis to the on-going political polarisation .
The government would like to present detailed case of terrorism that occured in Pakistan in recent weeks including suicide attack at the mosque in the police lines in Peshawar that claimed more than 100 lives and injured 150 others.
Pakistan is currency facing the worst kind of terrorism and the situation on ground seems even worse due to the on-going political and economic crisis.
In the aftermath of the recent Peshawar suicide attack, the government is mulling a strategy to launch a full- fledged military operation to weed out terrorists from Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK), in particular, and other parts of Pakistan, in general.
Pakistan is a victim of the worst kind of terrorism and at the same time its facing many other whooping challenges like political infighting and economic crisis.
It’s expected that the APC scheduled for February 7 will have a threadbare discussion on all issues including terrorism and come up with a final strategy to cope with all biting challenges confronted with the country.
Qamar Cheema ,. a political analyst, believes the government decision of calling the APC on February 7 is a timely step and it will help Pakistan cope with the challenges like terrorism and political divide.
