PM Shehbaz Reaffirms Commitment to Supporting Diplomatic Community in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, November 9, 2024: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the newly established “Cascade” Police Service Center in Islamabad on Saturday, a facility aimed at serving the diplomatic community and foreign nationals residing in Pakistan.

During his visit, the prime minister praised the initiative and commended Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for his role in establishing the modern service center.

The center is equipped with advanced equipment’s to facilitate diplomats and  foreign nationals.

“This center is an important step in providing all possible facilities to the diplomatic community, which is a priority for our government,” said Prime Minister Sharif.

The Cascade Police Service Center, which was inaugurated by Minister Naqvi on Friday, is the first of its kind in Pakistan.

The facility offers more than a dozen services to diplomats and foreign nationals under one roof, making it easier for them to access essential services in Islamabad.

The facilities were planned to provide at the center include the issuance and renewal of driving licenses, general police verification, character certificates, missing persons reports, and vehicle verification.

Additionally, foreigners can register with the police, apply for house help registration, and obtain copies of FIRs.

The Inspector General of Islamabad Police briefed the prime minister on the range of services being provided and highlighted the center’s role in ensuring smoother interactions between the diplomatic community and local authorities.

The establishment of the Cascade Service Center is part of the government’s broader effort to streamline services for foreign nationals and enhance their experience in Pakistan’s capital.
