ISLAMABAD : April 26,2023: A 3-member committee of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) on Wednesday issued more than 50 party tickets for the Punjab assembly upcoming elections . The committee which awarded party tickets to more than 50 candidates on Wednesday comprised of party chief organiser for Islamabad and north Punjab, Chaudhary Ansar Farooq , MNA Ms Farah Khan and party Information secretary , Malik Ghulam Mustafa .
PML chief , Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, secretary general , Chaudhary Salik Hussain had approved awarding of the party tickets to the party candidates .
PML is weighing in strong candidates for each constituency for upcoming general elections . It has already begun security of the potential candidates for the general elections .
PML chief organiser and president and ex-Governor Punjab , Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar is having back-to- back meetings with potential candidates to launch winning candidates and win maximum seats in the next general elections.
A PML source told NEWSMAN that the party is considering award of the tickets to many aspirants in the second phase.
We have more than one strong candidates in each constituency and only suitable strong candidates will be awarded party tickets .
The source also claimed that a large number of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders who have been denied tickets are also approaching to PML for its tickets.
The source also claim that the PML will emerge as a largest party after winning good number of seats of national assembly as well as the provincial assemblies in forthcoming general elections .
