Rawalpindi: September 2, 2024: Thanks finally rain delayed Pakistan’s defeat in 2nd test against Bangladesh. Team Pakistan had set a stage for another ‘shameful’ defeat in the second test as it was all out for 172 runs in the second inning. The way team Pakistan managed ‘shameful’ defeat it could be not have another example at least in Pakistan’s cricketing history. The poor cricket fans were still in deep shock over what one described as ‘shameful’ defeat in the first test match when Shaan Masood 11 set a stage to lose the second test also. Had rain not interrupted to delay if not stop from making another victory against Pakistan at the same Rawalpindi stadium , Litten Das 11 could have won the second test on forth day of match.
One wonders who is who in making decisions in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to appoint mentors and appointing Shaan Masood as Captain of team Pakistan. Does short tempered Shaan qualifies as captain? Why PCB’s ego- rotton chairman Mohsin Naqvi is ignoring Rizwan who could be thousand times better choice than Shaan Masood to overcome conspiracy natured Babar Azam. Mohsin Naqvi must think what is utilization of Babar Azam for Pakistan’s cricket. He should also take a short break from his busy schedule and ponder who selected Mir Hamza and Agha Shakeel for team Pakistan. Pakistan’s failure in cricketing world is going to continue as long “Parchi masters” keep coming in to damage Pakistan’s cricket. Pakistan’s performance against Bangladesh has stunned top class world cricketers. Every one among critics is pointing out that team Pakistan is full of egos and none of them is working as a team. Why these views of cricket icons is not moving PCB to take corrective measures. PCB took a good decision of excluding Shaheen Shah Afridi from tests against Bangladesh who was considering him even taller than Pakistan’s cricket . But why the same PCB remained indecisive in the same of Babar Azam and others who are deliberating not performing on the crease.
Cricket fans are extremely disappointed over team Pakistan’s performance against Bangladesh. They are unable to understand as to who is calling shots in Shaan 11 and why PCB is not worrying about zero performance of team Pakistan. One thing is absolutely clear that there is something very serious with team Pakistan and it needs major surgery not verbal, but practical for removing those who are getting hefty salaries from public money, but intentionally not playing on the crease.
