Lahore : OIC- COMSTECH and Directorate of Drug Control Health & Population Department Punjab arranged a meeting of a delegate of Senegalese pharmaceuticals Regulatory Agency with Minister Health & population Department Punjab in DTL Lahore.
Currently Senegal delegation is visiting Punjab WHO Prequalified Drug Testing Laboratories . Khawaja Imran Nazir , Minister Health and population chaired a meeting with Medicines Regulators/ Pharmacists from The Republic of Senegal.
1.Yankoba Coly Head of pharmaceutical Inspection Department and
2. Aminata Diop, pharmacist in Drug Testing Laboratory of Senegal.

During the address , Minister said that it’s honor for us that Pakistan has 06 WHO prequalified Labs which is the highest number in the world and out of which 05 are in Punjab. He further added that we are pleased to assist not only Senegal but all 57 OIC member states to uplift their Drugs quality testing system. Visit of Senegal delegation will strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and Senegal.
M.Sohail DG drug control gave the presentation to the delegate about testing mechanism , sample integrity, Quality Management System, Human Resource etc.
Dr. Qalandar Khan additional Secretary Drug Control and Khawaja Tariq Director DTL Lahore facilitated this visit of Senegal Regulators .

Dr Abdur Rashid Consultant ( Health initiatives) OIC-COMSTECH thanked to the Health Minister for giving an opportunity to OIC Muslim Country to learn from the WHO pre qualified Drug testing Labs of Punjab. Delegation has visited DTL Rawalpindi and Faisalabad and plan to visit PDTRC Sundar Lahore and DTL Multan also .
