Jeddah : Former Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Jaffar Express, calling it a cowardly act. He was speaking at an Iftar dinner hosted by former Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Azhar Warraich, in Jeddah.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed urged the Pakistani people, especially those visiting for Umrah, to offer special prayers for peace and security in Pakistan. He stated that such acts of terrorism are a conspiracy to weaken the country, but the entire nation stands united to counter them.
The host of the Iftar dinner, Chaudhry Azhar Warraich, welcomed the distinguished guests and congratulated Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on performing Umrah. Other notable attendees also strongly condemned the Jaffar Express attack and prayed for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
The event was attended by former Federal Minister Chaudhry Shehbaz Ahmed, Chairman of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, former Provincial Assembly candidate Mubashir Afzal Cheema, Chairman of Pakistan Investors Forum Shafqat Mehmood, former Provincial Assembly candidate Kashif Butt, and other prominent personalities.
The participants expressed solidarity, stating that Pakistan’s enemies will not succeed and that all possible measures will be taken to ensure peace and stability in the country.
