Islamabad : Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with a delegation of the US Congress, including Congressmen Jack Bergman, Tom Suzie and Jonathan Jackson. On this occasion, discussions were held on law and order, counter-terrorism and border security.
Mohsin Naqvi clarified that terrorism is a global challenge, to deal with which the international community must fully cooperate with Pakistan, the US delegation highly appreciated Pakistan’s role against terrorism.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Acting US Ambassador and Federal Interior Secretary were also present in the meeting.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has clarified that sustainable relations with the US are key to Pakistan’s foreign policy, Pakistan is a wall between terrorism and the world, terrorism is a global challenge, the international community is in dire need of full cooperation with Pakistan.
Mohsin Naqvi said that intelligence and technology sharing are extremely important in the field of counter-terrorism, Pakistan’s endless sacrifices against terrorism are unparalleled in the world.
He expressed hope that the Congressman’s visit will prove to be important in highlighting Pakistan’s unparalleled role in the fight against terrorism.
The Congressman said that there is a need to fully highlight Pakistan’s role in the war against terrorism, the Pakistani community living in the US is talented and capable.
Mohsin Naqvi said that sustainable relations with the US are key to Pakistan’s foreign policy.
The meeting also discussed bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest in detail, and discussed advancing cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and investment. During this, discussions were held on the areas of security, counter-terrorism, and border security.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the holding of the Pakistan Caucus on April 30 in the US is welcome, and the Congressman’s visit will prove to be important in highlighting Pakistan’s unparalleled role in the fight against terrorism.
He said that the participation of the American delegation in the recent Minerals Investment Forum 2025 is welcome, the government will provide every possible facility to investors and complete protection for investments.
