World Cup 2023: South Africa beat Australia by 134 runs.

Lucknow (India) : Oct 12 : In tenth match of the World Cup, South Africa defeated Australia by a huge margin of 134 runs.

South Africa’s Quinton de Kock was adjudged player of the match for his brilliant batting.

Australia won the toss and put South Africa into bat at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium in Lucknow. Captain Temba Bwama and Quinton de Kock gave the team a strong start with a partnership of 108 runs, Bwama getting out with 35 runs.

De Kock shared a 50-run partnership with van der Daussen, Daussen scored 26 runs, while de Kock’s call continued, he was able to play an innings of 108 runs with the help of 5 sixes and 8 fours.

Aidan Markram played a turn of 56 runs, Henrik Klaasen was able to make 29 runs, Marco Jensen and David Miller were able to add 43 runs, due to which South Africa’s score reached 311 runs for seven wickets.

Australia’s Maxwell and Starc got two wickets each.

In pursuit of the target, Australia’s wickets continued to fall at intervals. Marnos Labushin scored 46 runs and Mitchell Starc scored 27 runs.

Pat Cummins scored 22, Steve Smith 19 and David Warner 13, Mitchell Marsh 7, Josh Ingles and Glenn Maxwell 5 each while Adam Zampa remained not out with 11 runs.

Kagiso Rabada gave away 33 runs in 8 overs while Marco Johnson, Keshav Maharaj and Tabriz Shamsi took 2 wickets each.

Pat Cummins led the Australian team in the match and Temba Bavuma led the South African team.

Earlier, speaking after the toss, Temba Bavuma said there had been a change in the team, with Tabriz Shamsi replacing Coetzee.

On this occasion, Pat Cummins said that he would try to put pressure on South Africa, making two changes to the team, including Marcus Stoins and Josh Ingles.

The Australian captain said that playing against South Africa is always a challenge.

This was the second match between the two teams in this World Cup. Australia lost the first match while South Africa won their first match.
