LAHORE : February 2, 2023: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested , Imran Riaz Khan, a U tuber , for his ‘mischievous statement meant to create divide between the masses and the securty institution”.
The FIA registered the first information report (FIR) under sections 11 (electronic forgery), 20 (malicious code) and 24 (legal recognition of offences committed in relation to information system) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes (Peca) 2016.
Likewise, sections 131/109 (incitement to mutiny), 500 (punishment for defamation) and 505 (public mischief) of the Pakistan Penal Code have also been added to the FIR “Prima facie, the alleged person namely Imran Riaz has committed offences u/s 11, 20, 24 of PECA 2016 R/w 131, 500, 505, 109 — TVPPC. Hence, a case may be registered against the accused while the role of other accomplices (if any) will be determined during the course of the investigation,” it added.
U tuber Imran Raiz Khan, who is more loyal to Imran Khan and party ,Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) than his professional work as a U tuber .
Imran Riaz Khan had made blatant attacks on Pakistan’s security institution in his address to a conference held in Islamabad a few days ago.
Imran Riaz Khan had made similar statement a few months ago and was arrested for his inciting remarks . He, however , was later released by the court.
Instead mending his ways, Imran Riaz Khan , became even more venomous against the security institutions of Pakistan.
Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), as expected, strongly condemned arrest of Imran Riaz Khan .
