Lahore: Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, has declared that minority welfare cards will be introduced to assist worthy households across the province.
Addressing a Diwali celebration event in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz described the minority community as “a crown on her head” and emphasized her profound affection and dedication to their well-being.
The Chief Minister declared that on December 20, the Punjab government would begin issuing minority welfare cards to qualified families throughout the state.

CM Maryam Nawaz also promised a gift of Rs 150,000 for each of the 1,400 families as part of her Diwali greetings to the Hindu community.
CM Maryam Nawaz launched the “Kisan Card Programme” in Hafizabad earlier this week to give small farmers the crucial financial support they need.
This program allows farmers to use their Kisan Cards to purchase seeds, fertilizer, and insecticides, with loans of up to Rs 150,000 per crop season.

In Hafizabad, CM Maryam Nawaz announced that the program’s budget would increase the number of Kisan Cards issued from 500,000 to 750,000.
Applicants could register by transmitting their ID card number from their registered mobile number to 8070, she explained. She also gave away free laser levelers to wheat farmers who grew 12.5 to 25 acres and free tractors to those who grew more than 25 acres. Agricultural equipment would be rented to farmers at no profit, she added.
