CAIRO : The Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo today commemorated the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” with solemnity, dignity, and profound national pride. The occasion was observed to pay tribute to the courage, resilience, and unwavering resolve demonstrated by the people and armed forces of Pakistan in response to the Indian aggression one year ago.
Speaking on the occasion, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt stated that “Marka-e-Haq” remains a defining chapter in Pakistan’s contemporary history, symbolizing the nation’s unity, determination, and steadfast commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized that the exceptional professionalism, bravery, and preparedness displayed by Pakistan’s armed forces conveyed a clear message that Pakistan’s defence is strong and impregnable, and that the nation stands fully prepared to respond effectively to any act of aggression.
The Ambassador further underscored that during the challenging period last year, the entire Pakistani nation stood firmly united behind its armed forces, demonstrating exemplary solidarity, patriotism, and collective resolve in defence of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The event was attended by academics, journalists, students, and members of the Pakistani diaspora in Egypt. Participants expressed appreciation for the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan’s armed forces and reaffirmed their solidarity with the people of Pakistan in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, peace, and national dignity.
Special tribute was paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the homeland by observing a one-minute silence and offering Fateha. The Embassy also honored the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces and acknowledged the resilience and steadfast spirit of the Pakistani nation.
