Shahbaz regime increases petrol , HSD rates by Rs 13.18 and Rs 13.80 per litre for a week . Govt policy of protecting oil companies interest makes lives of Pakistanis even worse

Islamabad : The government has used shot-lived high tensions in the Middle East ( ME) as an opportunity to increase the oil prices. A notification issued by the Finance Division on Friday said the prices of petrol and High Speed Diesel (HSD) have been increased by Rs 13.18 and Rs 13.80 per litre respectively.

With the new surge , petrol prices jumped up from Rs 297.35 to Rs 310.71 per litre . HSD rates also jumped up to Rs 323.30 per litre.

The new prices will remain affective for a week. The government is using a week review formula to adjust the oil prices.

Since the start of ME war in February last , the government is using ME war as an opportunity to increase the rates of oil for the local consumers. During the last four months since break out of ME war , the government has increased oil prices at will without taking into consideration the spiral affect of repeated increase in the oil prices on the lives of commoners in Pakistan. As a result , the people lives have become like a living hell . The people are not even having money for two meals a day for families.

The people are literally in shock as if there is any one in this country to ask the rulers as to why they are protecting interests of the oil companies through oil prices revisions at the cost of survival of millions of Pakistanis.

Since the start of the war in ME, Pakistanis are forced to buy oil at the highest rates in the region.

The government is totally indifferent to worsening lives of the people. It increases petroleum levy to deprive the people of Pakistan from rightful relief when ever crude oil prices drop in the global market. A vast majority of the people of Pakistan believes that the government is protecting the interests of the oil companies by denying the relief to public of lowering crude oil rates.
