PTI gives final call to march on Islamabad on Nov 24.

RAWALPINDI, November 13, 2024: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has announced plans for a large-scale anti-government march to Islamabad on November 24, calling it the “final call” for a nationwide protest.

The announcement was made by Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, and his sister during a press briefing in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

According to Chaudhry, Imran Khan emphasized that the entire PTI leadership will participate in the march, signaling the party’s commitment to intensifying its campaign against the government.

Khan has also set up a special committee to coordinate the protest, though the lawyer refrained from revealing the members’ names, citing security concerns and fears of potential arrests.

Chaudhry clarified that the committee will have the authority to cancel the protest if necessary, ensuring that no single individual has the power to make decisions unilaterally.

The announcement comes after growing frustration within PTI ranks, particularly after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur concluded a recent rally in Swabi without setting a date for the Islamabad protest.

This disappointment was compounded by the abrupt ending of last month’s protest in Islamabad, which left party workers feeling disillusioned.

In addition, Chaudhry confirmed that CM Gandapur will lead a convoy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad, in line with Imran Khan’s directions.

The lawyer also detailed the key demands of the upcoming protest, which include the withdrawal of the controversial 26th Constitutional Amendment, the “return of PTI’s mandate,” and the release of PTI workers currently incarcerated without trial.

These issues are central to PTI’s campaign as it continues to challenge the current government’s policies.
