Rawalpindi : The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday said safe and unconditional release of Lt Col Khalid Ameer and three of his other relatives has been secured due to role played by tribal elders and local notables. All the abductees have safely returned home.
Col Khalid Ameer was kidnapped by terrorists along with his two brothers and a nephew from his hometown in Kalachi area of Dera Ismael Khan (DI Khan) when they were meeting their relatives and locals who had gathered to attend funeral of his father . Col Khalid Ameer and his relatives were in the captivity of terrorists since August 28,2024. Since kidnapping of Col Khalid and his relatives on August 28 , efforts were underway for early and safe release of the army officer and his close relatives .
