Islamabad : Nov 20 : The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation teams grilled Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chief , Imran Khan , on Monday in Adiala jail in Rawalpindi for 7 hours in € 190 million fraud case.
The NAB had secured 4-day physical remand of Imran Khan from the court to investigate him in € 190 million fraud case.
On Monday , two investigations teams of NAB questioned PTI chief about the scam of € 190 million .
In his rule , Imran Khan had approved adjustment of € 190 million received from National Crime Agency (NCA) of UK against outstanding amount of Malik Riaz of Bahria Town.
Malik Riaz had conceded during investigations of NCA of UK that the amount in question was ill-gotton and laundered from Pakistan . In the same case , Malik Riaz and his entire family including son Ali Riaz and daughters have been blacklisted by the UK government . After ban in money laundering case , Malik Riaz and his family can not enter in the UK.
As per law , the amount recovered by NCA of UK from Malik Riaz was to be deposited in the national exchequer of Pakistan, but instead as prime minister , Imran Khan ordered to adjust the amount against Malik Riaz ‘s outstanding amount against Bahria Town Karachi.
Imran Khan and his spouse –Bushra Bibi –in return to fraudulently benefiting Malik Riaz of € 190 million (Rs 60 billion) got from property tycoon a piece of 240 kanals of barren land in Jehlum.
Apparently , Malik Riaz donated the peace of 240 kanals of land in Jehlum to set up. Al-Qadir University was a shadow to hush up public money of € 190 million simply approved by Imran Khan’s cabinet to adjust against Malik Riaz ‘s outstanding amount of Rs 490 billion against Bahria Town Karachi. The scam of € 190 million in Imran Khan rule speaks of volume of corruption between 2018 and April 2022 when PTI rule came to an end through a no confidence motion.
NAB filed a reference in the case against Imran Khan, former first lady Bushra Bibi and some other key leaders of PTI including Fawad Chaudhary , Zulfi Bukhari and Amir Kayani in the case. NAB investigators are probing the role of Imran Khan , his spouse Bushra Bibi , Zulfi Bukhari and many other PTI leaders to ascertain as to how PTI government compromised national interest to get financial benefit from Malik Riaz and cause a loss of Rs 60 billion to the national exchequer.
