Karachi: Gold prices saw a significant drop the day before, but they recovered on Friday.
In the local gold markets, 24-carat gold prices increased by Rs 2,000 per tola, hitting a new high of Rs 278,800.
Similarly, the price of gold rose by Rs 1,715 per 10 kilos, to Rs 239,026.
The price of gold per ounce increased by $21 on the global bullion market, reaching a new global price of $2,683.
This increase indicates a resurgence of investor confidence in the precious metal after declining gold prices.
Silver prices nationwide stayed stable despite this spike in gold prices.
There was no change in the price of 10 grams of silver, which stood at Rs 2,829.21, while silver per tola stayed at Rs 3,300.

Gold prices fell yesterday on both domestic and foreign markets.
A significant change occurred in the local gold market, with 24-carat gold prices dropping by Rs 5,400 per tola.
Currently, gold costs Rs 276,800 per tola.
Likewise, the cost of 10 grams of gold has decreased by Rs 4630, to Rs 237,311.
The price of gold per ounce fell by $65, reaching $2,662 per ounce on the world bullion market after this.
