Power game !!

History does not revolve around any single individual, nation, or power; rather, it is a continuous flow in which rise and decline are inevitable realities. Those who are intoxicated with power today often become mere lessons in the pages of history tomorrow. This very principle applies with full force to today’s global landscape, where the conduct of leaders like Donald Trump has raised serious questions for the world.
Donald Trump’s politics reflect an approach that prioritizes power while sidelining balance. The slogan “America First” may appear to advocate national interest, but when such a mindset transforms into global self-centeredness, its consequences become far-reaching and dangerous. Today’s world is interconnected; the rigid stance of one inevitably impacts all.
This is not the first time a power at its peak has considered itself invincible. History is filled with examples where the intoxication of authority distanced rulers from reality. Yet the outcome has always been the same—decline. This is the lesson today’s global leaders, particularly the leadership of the United States, must understand: power is not permanent; it has an end.
In global politics, coercion, threats, and unilateral decisions may yield short-term gains, but they do not offer sustainable solutions. During Donald Trump’s tenure, trade wars, diplomatic tensions, and growing distance from allies exemplified this policy. Such measures divide the world rather than unite it. And when the world is divided, everyone suffers—whether powerful or weak.
A true leader is not one who merely displays strength, but one who exercises control over it. The true essence of leadership lies in patience, tolerance, and justice. Without these qualities, power becomes a burden—and that burden ultimately leads to downfall.
Our times are teaching us that the world needs dialogue, not confrontation; equality, not dominance; and wisdom, not displays of power. If global leadership continues to ignore this reality, the consequences will not only be political but also deeply human and devastating.
This column is not a critique of any single individual, but a reminder of a universal principle: every rise has a fall. Those who sit on the throne of power today may be held accountable tomorrow. Therefore, true wisdom lies in exercising power with humility.
In the end, the world needs leaders who learn from history rather than repeat its mistakes—because history does not remember the powerful, it remembers the just.
